Description of the designer of modular machines UNIMAT 1 BASIC

From this set you can assemble the machines:

Woodworking lathe

This smallest lathe allows you to work thaw with wood stocks of various species with a nominal center height above the bed of up to 25 mm , with an optional increase in height of up to 50 mm . The interval between the centers is 135 mm with a possible extension to 324 mm . In this way you can process workpieces having a diameter of up to 50 mm (optionally up to 100 mm ) and a length of up to 135 mm (optionally up to 324 mm ). That is, you can make cannon trunks and masts for modeling historical ships, furniture and equipment for a dollhouse and many other miniature products. The machine is safe when used even by younger schoolchildren, as it works from 12 V.

The second option . Wood lathe with faceplate. The workpiece is attached on one side to the faceplate. This facilitates the implementation of face turning of short workpieces, hollowing out the recesses in the wood using the appropriate cutting tool.

The third option . Lathe for working with thin blanks of soft non-ferrous metals, wood and plastic. The maximum diameter of the workpieces is 6 mm . The workpiece is mounted inside the spindle with special collet clamps, which allows you to make holes in the center of the workpiece using a drill installed in the tailstock.

Jigsaw

The jigsaw is designed to work with materials:

  • non-ferrous metals - up to 0.5 mm thick;
  • plexiglass parts - up to 2 mm thick;
  • hardwood (oak or beech) - up to 7 mm thick;
  • soft wood species (linden or balsa) - up to 20 mm thick;
  • plywood - up to 7 mm thick;
  • foiled getinax - up to 2 mm.

The main application of a jigsaw is sawing out of plywood, precise cutting of intarsia in veneer, simple household repairs and much more. The difference between a jigsaw and a conventional jigsaw is in the method of attaching the file. For an electric jigsaw, only the lower end of the saw is fixed, and for conventional jigsaws, both ends. This fastening greatly facilitates the cutting of internal contours due to the absence of the need to release the end of the file for its entry into the hole in the workpiece and extraction at the end of the cutting contours. This tool does not have a tension arc, so with it you can saw blanks of any size.

The amplitude of the file’s stroke, which is 3-4 mm , makes this jigsaw completely safe even when you touch the file, becauseDue to their elasticity, the skin will be displaced after the course of the file by 1.5-2 mm , and the teeth will not injure it. Thanks to this feature, the jigsaw is ideal for teaching even children.

Also, due to the small amplitude of movement of the file, only the lower teeth participate in the sawing. Dull teeth from the edge of the saw can be cut off with nippers and fix the remaining section of the saw, while new, non-dull teeth will work.

Grinding machine

For grinding and polishing the edges of products and flat surfaces, an electric motor module with a rotating disk (diameter 50 mm ) and an emery circle is fixed on the machine body. On such a machine, you can sharpen knives and scissors, screwdrivers, cutters and drills. The machine has two speeds of 2000 and 6000 rpm. per minute .

Manual mini drill

To assemble this tool, an electric motor, a protective cover and a spindle are used. Drills (tail diameter 0.5-6 mm ) are mounted on the spindle with collet clamps.

A mini-drill allows you to drill holes in sheets of thin metal, wood and acrylic. In addition to the drill, you can fix the cutter, polishing wheel or other tools with a suitable shank diameter. Speed 2000 rpm. It runs on 12 V , so it can be used to repair a car outside the garage.

Manual mini grinder

To assemble a hand-held grinder for processing hard-to-reach spots, a grinding disk (diameter 50 mm) is mounted on the spindle of a hand-held power tool. Using glue on the grinding disk, you can fix the grinding skin, felt or felt.
